Ampoules are small glass containers used to hold liquid medicine. The capacity is generally 1~25ml. It is commonly used for liquid medicine for injection, Injection containers generally refer to ampoules or containers (such as penicillin vials) made of hard neutral glass.

The style of ampoules now includes neck ampoules and powder ampoules, and their volumes are generally 1, 2, 5, 10, 20ml and other specifications. Other ampoules have curved necks. All ampoules used for water injection according to the new national standard GB2637-1995 are flexible necked ampoules.
